Abstract
This document examines Nearshoring in Mexico, emphasizing its importance in the context of global trade tensions, particularly between the United States and China. This trend presents Mexico with a strategic advantage due to its proximity to the U.S. and its relationship through the T-MEC, with the potential to boost exports and create jobs. However, the country faces regional disparities and infrastructure challenges that limit its full potential. The article’s objective is to analyze the challenges and opportunities of the strategic phenomenon from a theoretical-practical perspective, integrating Dynamic Capabilities Theory and proposing an updated conceptual framework to address current trends. The methodology used is qualitative, based on document analysis and the review of journalistic sources. The findings suggest that regions with better infrastructure are better positioned to take advantage of these opportunities, while underdeveloped areas require policies that focus on improving infrastructure, skills development, and economic diversification. Additionally, collaboration with APEC is essential to strengthen economic integration and enhance dynamic capabilities.
