Hispanic Literature Translations in China

Abstract

Translation plays an important role for literary exchange between languages of different cultural systems, especially if they are quite different such as Chinese and Spanish. The translation of Spanish literature in China has a hundred years of history and in this work two great sections are provided to analyze the history of these translations. The first deals with early translations between 1915 and 1950; the second, on subsequent translations, from 1950 to the present day.
